Three Technologies that Helped the 2017 Lincoln Continental Earn a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS

The 2017 Lincoln Continental recently received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In order to do so, Lincoln's flagship sedan had to meet strict requirements in IIHS's crash prevention category. With a host of active safety technologies on its side, the 2017 Lincoln Continental met the requirements with flying colors.

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection

This system uses integrated cameras and radar to monitor surrounding traffic conditions. If an object or person risks eminent collision, the car will alert the driver. If the driver fails to react, the system will automatically apply braking.

Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Blind spot monitor keeps drivers aware of what's going on in places where it's harder to see. If there's an object or person in your blind spot, the car will let you know. This can be helpful when backing up or merging lanes.

Lane Keep Assist

If you start to drift into another lane without signaling, this system will alert you to stay in your lane. If you fail to respond, the system can automatically steer you back into your lane.

The Lincoln Continental can lend a helping hand in driver safety. Will you take it? We can guide you through the systems and demonstrate how they work at our location in Alliance.
